Alain Ibrahim is undoubtedly one of the best musicians in Lebanon nowadays. He is a skillful multi-instrumentalist who has showcased his talent ever since he was 15. After building up a strong name for himself in the local scene and after a very productive and healthy musical life, starting with Monarchy, passing through Ostura, and excelling with Turbulence, today, Alain is working on his first solo album. As soon as we heard about the album, we jumped to the opportunity to have a small chat with guitar virtuoso Alain Ibrahim about his solo and band careers.
A free metal concert? Yes, it happened! “Skull Session” was held on the 8th of September, as “a free event for all Heavy Metal enthusiasts featuring a selection of some of the best bands in the Lebanese Metal society today: Blaakyum, Phenomy, Turbulence, and Qantara”. Summer Fusion is an all-day beach concert that brings a unique blend of local talents together on a beachside stage.

In an age where the music industry is defined by showmanship rather than musicality, by looks rather than musical performance, by released moves and acts rather than hours of rehearsing at home on the instrument, it would seem that a dark age is but to get even darker.
Progressive metal band Turbulence are covering yet another Dream Theater track, from Dream Theater’s 2003 release, “Train of Thought”. Previously the band posted a cover for Moment of Betrayal only two weeks after Dream Theater released the single from their latest album The Astonishing.
Only two weeks after Dream Theater released their second single “Moments of Betrayal” from their upcoming album “The Astonishing”, Lebanon’s Progressive band Turbulence released a cover of the single.
My excitement for RockRing’s “Break The Cycle” has been growing ever since I came across the event page on Facebook. I’ve already been to one of their events and it was simply amazing. It’s safe to say that Break the Cycle met my expectations. Continue reading
