On February 8, Brick Floyd did one last show in Lebanon at Quadrangle – Hazmieh, before flying to the United States, for some shows and to start recording their debut album. The venue was packed, just like their previous show at Beirut Open Stage – Mar Mkhayel. As we all know, the 19th of January was a busy night for all of them Pink Floyd fans. Pink Floyd’s music is kind of like psychedelic rock and is considered to have some trippy effects on the mind if delved into. Recreating their music isn’t like a bunch of 14 year olds covering “Smells Like Teen Spirit”, but needs a lot of experience in sound effects with instruments, which not too many bands in Lebanon might be capable of. But Brick Floyd sure can. They announced that their show would be held in Beirut Open Space, on Jan 19. What I like about that venue is that it is located in Mar Mkhayel and not on the main road, which means we don’t get stuck in traffic from the beginning of Gemayze street. Continue reading
On September 16th of this year 2017, Brick Floyd Live In The Flesh concert took place at the Lebanese house of musicians Quadrangle – Hazmieh. The band was able to get a full house of Pink Floyd fans and has put up a great tribute show.
