DIRKSCHNEIDER is a group led by UDO Dirkschneider, the former lead singer of ACCEPT.
He formed the band and started touring the world with one aim, bidding farewell to his former band ACCEPT. He plans to play his material from his time with ACCEPT one last time.
The tour began in 2016 and continues worldwide with mainly sold-out venues; fans get to hear an entire setlist with only ACCEPT material.
Playing beside UDO is a group of fine musicians that are adding a magic touch to this once in a lifetime experience.
On drums, there is Sven Dirkschneider, the youngest band member and the son of the great UDO.
Fitty Wienhold plays bass, and on guitar Andrey Smirnov, a well-known player for his work as a session guitarist for Paul Di’Anno, Blaze Bayley, and Tim Ripper Owens.
Bill Hudson as well on guitars; Bill is well known for his recent appearance with Savatage and TSO during the first time attempted double stage show while TSO and Savatage performed together in front of over 80,000 people, since that night, the performance of Bill and his entire career earned him a spot on the TSO roster.
The show kicked off with RAVEN, a name that is well known to old school heavy metal fans, a band that has been around shredding some real heavy metal since 1974.
This is a three-member band: John Gallagher, Mark Gallagher, and Joe Hasselvander. The trio after these many years still deliver a kick-ass heavy metal show that is full of energy. They are fast, loud, and really heavy.
It was my first time seeing RAVEN and I enjoyed every note.
And here is a fun fact for those who don’t know, Metallica’s first major tour (Kill ‘Em All Tour), they opened for RAVEN. Yeah, you heard that right, and so did ANTHRAX.

The Beast Inside, that’s how UDO started the show. UDO, as I call him a living legend of Heavy Metal, still got it. After all these years, UDO delivers a performance like no other, with a lot of attitude in his vocals. UDO still got those bad-ass screams that no one but UDO can deliver.
The band continues to play many many fan favorites from UDO’s extensive library with ACCEPT and you could hear the fans sing along to every song.
UDO continues to perform songs like Bulletproof, Slaves to Metal, Stone Evil, Breaker, and many more.
Bill Hudson does a fantastic job on those guitar solos and continues to prove that he can really play anything and blow your mind.
The venue (La Machine Du Moulin Rouge) was packed, pretty sure this was a sold-out show and what I like about the crowd is that they were all loyal UDO/Accept fans who came to celebrate this memorable night with UDO and his band.
A legend like UDO who dedicated his life to Heavy Metal deserves no less than such crowds that can only appreciate his contribution to Metal.
A big shoutout to the promoter BASE Productions who made this night to remember a reality to the fans in Paris and around it.
BASE productions deserve 5 out of 5 for their organization during this concert.
This was truly a night to remember.
