The Answer have debuted their first single from their much anticipated upcoming studio album Solas.

Founded in the year 2000, The Answer are getting ready to put out their 6th studio album Solas on October 28, 2016 under record label Napalm Records.

Solas is the first official single from the new album and has already gone straight on to the Planet Rock A-List. It follows the previously released track ‘Beautiful World’, which is bathed in a dark, cinematic eeriness and was co-written with former Massive Attack producer/composer, Neil Davidge.

Guitarist Paul Mahon comments on Solas in an interview with Teamrock when asked about its production as follows:

I think that song is a summary of everything that’s new on this record. There’s a little bit of Zeppelin in there, but it’s much more of a cinematic sound and has that machine-like groove. I think people will be pleasantly surprised. On every record, we tried to do a track or two that comes off the beaten path. But on this album, we ended up doing ten of them.
