OUT NOW! “Perfect Life”, Steven Wilson’s New Music Video Directed by YOUSSEF NASSAR.

We have interviewed Youssef Nassar more than 7 months ago (here), after he posted on his Facebook page that he will be directing Porcupine Tree’s music video for the song “Don’t Hate Me”. After publishing the issue, Youssef told us that the song will be for Steven Wilson’s 4th solo album and not for “Don’t Hate Me”, without giving us the name of the single, but described it as “a very melancholic and nostalgic song/video”. And today is the due date. After more than an hour (while writing this article), the song PERFECT LIFE (watch video below) from Hand. Cannot. Erase album that will be released on the 2nd of March this year was posted on Steven Wilson’s official YouTube channel.

The slow-paced video directed and edited by Youssef Nassar revolves around two girls playing in a deserted forest. It follows the story of those sisters whose relationship is mainly supposed to portray the perfect life Steven Wilson is describing.

Vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, keyboards, mellotron M4000, programming – SW / Chapman Stick and backing vocals – Nick Beggs / Fender Rhodes – Adam Holzman / Drums – Marco Minnemann / Voice – Katherine Jenkins.
