DOOM is one of the most successful video games ever. And it has one of the heaviest soundtracks to say the least. This year at The Game Awards 2016 last Thursday, DOOM won the award for Best Music and Sound Design award. After the announcement, composer Mick Gordon performed a medley of the DOOM soundtrack live at The 2016 Game Awards with PERIPHERY drummer Matt Halpern! And it was WILD!

I think Game soundtracks could be a way to revive the Metal Scene worldwide. In 2014, there was a release of Pentakill – Smite and Ignite for the fictional band League Of Legends by RIOT games as a soundtrack for LOL, that featured Jorn Lande on Vocals for 2 Heavy Metal songs. Many games also have Heavy Metal soundtracks like Mortal Kombat, Diablo, and Carmageddon, among many more.
