Erce Arslan has been Kimaera‘s drummer for three years now, following Simon Saade’s departure. This has brought a very interesting band called Khepra to our attention, which also features Erce as sticksman!

Turkish symphonic death metal band Khepra has recently released the first single from its upcoming debut full-length album, “Cosmology Divine”.

Khepra was formed in 2009 under the name Gurz by Dou Kalender and Kenan Turandar. Since its formation, the band has released one EP in 2012 titled “Sons of Earth and Sky” and later went on to perform in several European countries.

Throughout the years, the band’s sound has evolved to become more aggressive and include Eastern/Anatolian influences, and the result can be heard below.

For the track above, Khepra has teamed with Erce Arslan (Kimaera), who lent the band his skills on the drum set. Moreover, Erce edited and contributed to recording this track. Below is a list of contributors for this track:

The track titled “We Are Descending” is the first single from the band’s upcoming debut full-length studio album “Cosmology Divine”.


Cosmology Divine” was recorded in 2015 and is currently being mixed and mastered by producer Logan Mader in the U.S.A. The band plans to release the album in the first half of 2016.
