We often see young kids playing their musical instruments and get fascinated by the skills they mastered in a very short period of time, but this 10-year-old boy is different, he is METAL!
Young Australian heavy metal boy Callum McPhie from north Canberra performed the song “Through The Fire And Flames” by DRAGONFORCE at the grand final of the reality television talent show “Australia’s Got Talent”.
Knowing that he received a standing ovation and got the judges head-banging and singing along when he performed Metallica’s hit Enter Sandman in his semi-final on Sunday night.
The 10-year-old school boy played and sang “Through The Fire and Flames” like a rock a star, taking into consideration the difficulty level of this song compared to others.
Ozzy Osbourne‘s daughter Kelly Osbourne, who is one of the judges on the program, said “Callum is a rare breed and some people are just born to do what they do and he proved that tonight. He is born to be a rock star.” Despite all the accolades, he unfortunately did not get enough votes to win; but that was not the end of young Callum’s dream for he was lucky enough to meet the Godfathers of heavy metal Black Sabbath.
Callum has a promising kick-ass future. Check him out playing METALLICA’S Master of Puppets in Canberra city, Australia .
