W:O:A Metal Battler Middle East – Lebanon Heat

The W:O:A Metal Battle is coming to Middle East in 2015 again – to Dubai, Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon.

The Call for Bands is starting 1st of November 2014, deadline without any exception is the 6th of December 2014.

To apply for the W:O:A Metal Battle in Middle East 2015, please provide the following documents:

✔ The signed application “Registration Document Call for Bands”
✔ Demo CD with 3 – 4 songs
✔ Band information and available promotion material including band photo
✔ Short letter of motivation – why is your band the right one to battle for your country?
✔ Signed rules of the W:O:A Metal Battle
✔ Technical rider and stage plan for the band
Please sign the attached rules of the W:O:A Metal Battle. All bands in all countries world-wide have to follow the same rules.
You need to apply twice – online and with a hard copy of all documents.
Please send your complete online application by email to metal-battle@govad-music.com
Afterwards you will receive an answer if your documents are complete and the name of your contact person in your country to hand over your hard copy application.

Here are some information about the planned W:O:A Metal Battles in Middle East 2015:

✔ Applying bands must register latest until 6th of December 2014 – no exception!
✔ Band application must contain this registration formular including the signed rules given by Wacken and the required documents as mentioned above.
✔ Bands must apply online by email to metal-battle@govad-music.com – please use only this email address – no facebook, no personal messages – otherwise we cannot guarantee that your band application will be considered. After receiving your online application, you will get the contact data of your regional contact person to hand over the hard copy for your application.
✔ A preselection jury will choose those bands from all applications, who are allowed to battle for each country/region. The jury members will be announced mid of January.
✔ The announcement of the short list with the bands who are in will be announced mid of January – more infos will be updated on the facebook page, please check it regularily
✔ The battle for the bands in each country will take place in springtime. Each regional battle will have a local winner. All local winners (one from Dubai, one from Egypt, one from Jordan and one from Lebanon) will meet for a final battle in Middle East after the local battles; to choose the final Middle East winner who will perform in the world-wide final in Wacken, Germany. The travel dates for Germany are Tuesday 28th of July – Sunday 2nd of August 2015
✔ Please make sure that you do not have any travel issues in Middle East and to Germany in case you should win the regional or final battle – here are the websites with all visa information of the german embassies:

✔ We are also in contact with the german embassies to get their support regarding any governmental issues to be able to provide save and approved metal battles in each region.
✔ Details about the battles in the regions itself will be given not before end of January 2015. If you are choosen to take part in the Metal Battle Middle East, then you will receive a welcome letter from Wacken and govad MUSIC with the world-wide and local rules.
✔ Your official contact person for the W:O:A Metal Battle in Middle East is Monika Bremer as official promoter. Please do not contact Wacken in Germany directly, they will forward all communication directly to Monika from govad MUSIC!
✔ The official website of W:O:A Metal Battle is www.metal-battle.com – you will find the information for 2015 here soon as well.
✔ If you do any public communication regarding the Metal Battle in Middle East, please use the right title which is W:O;A Metal Battle Middle East. The use of the Metal Battle Logo is only allowed together with the Metal Battle. Misuse of the name or logo of Wacken or the Wacken Metal Battle will lead to immediate disqualification!
