It is one of the most prestigious metal events in Europe, and it turns 20 this year!

This edition of Brutal Assault Festival will be held between 5th and 8th of August 2015 in the Old Army Fortress Josefov in the Czech Republic.

What makes it so special?

Brutal Assault handpicks international bands that play a variety of extreme metal forms, which when coupled with the historical setting of the Old Army Fortress makes the event truly unique! Over 100 bands will play extreme music and will offer the best performances from their various music genres, stretching 4 days and 3 stages!  All this is integral to the festival’s image and provides an unusual experience to fans who attend.

 

The festival management chose to have as many interesting “mid-size” bands as possible. This allows more fans to see more of their favorite acts. The appreciative reaction of the fans has so far been even better than expected and the 20th Brutal Assault is expected to be the most successful yet!

Some of the bands participating are  BLOODBATH, ROSETTA, KREATOR, ANNIHILATOR, MAYHEM, CRADLE OF FILTH, KILLING JOKE, and KATATONIA.

The festival takes place inside the Old Army Fortress in Josefov (approx. 130 km from Prague). Festival-goers will discover dozens of refreshment kiosks featuring worldwide cuisine. The fest is vegan-friendly and will also offer 4 big “beer tents” offering thousands of sitting places and 5 types of draught beer from the world famous Czech Budweiser Budvar brewery! A wide selection of of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be prepared as well.

The fest also has a “chill” zone called “Greenfield” just a 4-minute walk from the main stages! Greenfield is a place for your pleasure and relaxation for when you want to escape. It is a place for recharging your energy. Among other attractions you can find the enormous “Metal Market” in there. The market is home to more than 60 shops and sits just next to the festival “Horror Cinema Grindhouse” with its all-day projection of cheesy horror flicks and other forms of bizarre cinematography.

There will also be a camp site which is free for all, however, there is a VIP campsite that features fences, toilets, washbasins, and depository.

The festival will also feature meet and greet points, non-stop bars, an art gallery, and many more attractions!
